Mala Paklenica Educational Center and Reception
The entrance to Mala Paklenica is also a small educational center presenting the importance of birds of prey, owls and reintroduction of the Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus)
in protected nature and all habitats in Croatia.

Birds of prey and owls are presently the most endangered bird groups in Croatia. Their protection is still insufficiently effective in our protected areas. In addition, a decrease in the number of certain nesting bird species in Croatia, such as the Eurasian griffon, suggests a negligent treatment of species and nature on the part of humans, and poor efficiency of field protection.
Popularization and education in small educational centers like this one in Mala Paklenica aims to raise the awareness among various visitor groups, especially the younger generations, children and students, of the importance of these endangered species requiring protection.
